Well it was about time for a nice gift, don't you think!? So here you go!
This is a great template pack of 12 month templates in .psd files. You can clip your favorite photos on, move things around if you like and viola...!

These templates are sized 8,5 x 11" and besides they make (once you've printed them out) a wonderful personalized calendar for your self, it is the perfect gift for the holidays to surprise your friends and family.
Gift tip 1: Collect some photos of you and your family of bygone days. Old photos of you with your brothers, sisters or parents would be perfect. Preferable black and white or sepia colored photos. Scan them, use them, dress them, print them and you'll have the most precious gift for family members.

Gift tip 2: Collect some pictures of flowers or bouquets and you'll have a beautiful gift for friends to say 'thank you' for their friendship.

tips & tricks

After only 2 years of digital scrapping, I certainly do not pretend to know it all, but I sure did learned a LOT! And what I've learned I want to share with you. Mostly some tips and tricks for page scrappers but also for designers. And maybe sometimes I will dare to take a whole tutorial on me. Each time I will try to make it short though, as it will make things easier.

The first is actually a tip for designers. Now I don't know about you, but when I'm scrapping a page I work in complete chaos! I take some here, take some there, and eventually my Photoshop is full of files of elements and papers that I've used. What I find very useful when it comes to crediting, that all these files are named with designer name and kit name. That way I don't have to go back to my explorer (or every other place where you keep your stuff) and find out where that particular flower that I've used, came from. Sometimes I see files that says nothing more than 'flower'. Well... who's flower, which kit? It just takes a lot of time to go back and find that out.

I do use ACDSee to organize my stock, but to make sure I don't have to spend much time on finding the right info for crediting, I have to categorize everything by designer name and product. If you don't have such a program for categorizing, it's just very helpful if designers name there kit folder as

JoHanna_2ps_burninglove

and files of elements and papers as

JoHanna_2ps_burninglove_flower (or whatever).

So I can see immediately that the flower I've used is from designer Jo Hanna, who's shop is at 2peas, from the kit Burning Love.

Well that makes our scrapping lives a bit easier, right!?

I see so many beautiful pages in 2ps gallery, I though I'd share them with you on a weekly basis so you get inspired! I always was a fan of the clean and simple style so this gorgeous page of Superiorpea immediately caught my eye. I LOVE the simplicity here and what I find of such pages like this is that the focus is spot on the photo. And it's all about the photo, right!? Just with a few additions here and there it makes the photo come alive. Beautiful work! You can find this page HERE in 2ps gallery!

almost done!

Well, not quite 'almost done' as there will be a lot of work waiting for us in the inside of the house, but look at this! Doesn't our new front of the house look great, or what!? The new bricks are hardly different that the ones at the top, right? And those leaded lights in the windows are fantastic! Our whole town (well, it's a little town) are calling out oh's and ah's and saying 'what an improvement!' Yep, we think so to and we are very happy with the way our house looks now. Soon I will post a before and after photo, so you will see how it looked before we started this renovation.

I think today will be the last day of the constructors working at our place. Sure Boris (our dachshund) will gonna miss them as during lunch time he got a lot of treats! But then it's our turn on renovation. We sure will have some painting and decorating to do! Hopefully will be ready by Christmas!
